The technical department of APImovilidad is very active in these fields and has highly qualified personnel and means that facilitate and allow for the highest quality in the work they develop. The main departments are:

Their main task is to back the rest of the company's areas, especially maintenance of infrastructures and signalling and construction. For these tasks it has modern means and offers a high added value to its clients in the following fields:
Road Safety.
APImovilidad performs technical assistance contracts to carry out studies and road safety projects for the Administration, including the development of statistical reports and the study of blackspots and preventive actions, including specific projects for the improvement of these sections. In addition, it provides support to the maintenance centres through the systematic study of accidents (it has its own computer programs) in order to reduce, as far as possible and with low-cost measures, the hazard and mortality rates for each road section. These studies include proposals for improvements in the network and specific road safety projects, as well as a follow-up of the activities carried out to assess their effectiveness.
Safety in Tunnels.
We manage assistance contracts in tunnel safety for the Administration. By having a safety officer in each tunnel of the road network, we can coordinate all the aspects related to safety inside the tunnel, including the proper functioning of the equipment and carrying out drills. This management is another of the functions in which support is given to maintenance contracts, advising on equipment and the appropriate measures to be taken in case of incidents.
Signs.
It includes the design of orientation signs and panels according to the regulations in force in each network, and the development and update of the current regulations on traffic signs.
Specific maintenance studies.
· Annual, biannual and quadrennial maintenance plans
· Drawing up of a manual for the conservation of singular structures
· Comprehensive Renovation Plans
Of note, among the works carried out by the Technical Department,
Comprehensive plans for the renovation of cities, which are done from scratch, with the presentation of the current state and the proposals for improvement.
