Renovation of Drinking Water Supply Network

Within the framework of the ” Plan de Renovación y Adecuación de Redes de Abastecimiento y Distribución de Agua Potable 2015-2019″ (plan for the renovation of drinking water supply networks) carried out by the R & D + innovation Sub-directorate of the CANAL DE ISABEL II GESTIÓN (water authority in the Autonomous Region of Madrid), imesAPI has been awarded four contracts for the renovation of the Networks of several municipalities in the north of Madrid, specifically the towns of Hoyo de  Manzanares, Las Rozas and Robledo de Chavela.

The works include the replacement of the old network, composed in some of its sections by elements of fibre cement and iron and other elements whose replacement is a priority to guarantee the supply.

The works will be carried out in such a way that the impact on the users is minimal, by hand if necessary.

It is a pipe network of diameter from 80mm to 500mm with a total length of about 9,000 in ductile cast iron with the corresponding connections, hydrants and valves. The time allotted for the works is between 150 and 180 days. The total amount is € 3.4 Million.

Last year, the ‘Agrupación de Obras Hidráulicas de la Delegación Centro’ has carried out for the CANAL DE ISABEL II (water authority in the Autonomous Region of Madrid) works in urban fresh water distribution networks for more than 20,000m.
